Podcast: Culture as Competitive Advantage

- Nicholas Farrell -

Startup Capital is a Tallahassee interview series and podcast focused on spotlighting city’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. We’ve teamed up with Startup Southerner to bring the stories and lessons of Tallahassee entrepreneurship to you.

For Season 2, Episode 3 of Startup Capital, we decided to take a look at what it takes to cultivate a healthy workplace culture. Since so many examples of bad workplace culture have been in the news recently, we thought we’d spotlight two companies who’ve done it right.

In this episode, CEO Mindy Perkins of VR Systems talks about how the employee-owned elections technology firm encourages commitment and collaboration. Tom Derzypolski, president at BowStern Marketing Communications, talks about how employees at the dynamic young firm take company culture into their own hands.

To find out how these two companies built workplace cultures that give them an edge, listen to Episode 3 of the Startup Capital podcast now.
