We’ve partnered with Nashville Entrepreneur Center podcaster Clark Buckner and his intern team to bring you more coverage about the entrepreneurial happenings in the Nashville community.
In February 2017, the Office of Megan Barry announced its partnership with iFundWomen, a crowdfunding platform for women-led businesses. “Nashville has a strong entrepreneurial and small business community and iFundWomen Nashville helps everyone find and support women entrepreneurs in our community who need funding and start-up resources,” stated Mayor Barry in a statement. “Entrepreneurship is thriving in the Nashville area, but there are still significant funding barriers especially for women. iFundWomen Nashville gives our residents a unique way to explore new women-led businesses, the stories behind their start and a way to invest directly in local entrepreneurs and creatives.”
The first class of Nashville women businesses are now chosen for the platform, and the celebration and showcase took place at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center on March 24.
Johnathan Guo, EC photography intern and Vanderbilt University sophomore, took photos from the event.
